Music Mirror loads a MIDI file and plays it in reverse, inverting it both horizontally and vertically. How does it do it? very simply, by analyzing the sequence of notes in the MIDI in question, and then playing them in reverse.



The difference between the horizontal and vertical inversions just mentioned is that, if you invert a MIDI vertically the high notes become low and vice versa (like turning a score upside down). If you invert a MIDI horizontally, it means you alter the tempo lines of the song, and listen from finish to start.
